By-Pass for compressed gas temperature control

This system is designed to inject cold gas at the outlet of the vaporiser and is the best solution for controlling the temperature of the compressed gas when filling up.
Mixing the hot gas from the vaporiser with the cold gas, it is possible to control the temperature of the gas being delivered to the fuel pump, increasing the density and therefore the final filling level.

Controlled from the control panel and positioned after the vaporiser, it consists of the following components:
  • Pneumatic valve (normally closed), with proximity sensor
  • PT100 temperature probe to control the pneumatic valve and the temperature of the gas being delivered

Safety panel

Safety panel

In accordance with the safety standards envisaged in cryogenic systems, a safety panel must be installed after the vaporiser unit, to protect the line from excessive pressure and/or excessively low pressure, which might make the bottles fragile. The relative signals of the following elements, which make up the above system, are controlled and managed from the electrical control panel:

  • high pressure transducer;
  • high pressure safety valves;
  • N.2 temperature sensor for controlling gas delivered by the vaporiser unit to prevent danger due to cold embrittlement;
  • pressure gauge;
  • check valve;
  • manual cut-off valve (for maintenance of the pressure gauge);
  • manual vent valve;
  • terminal box for connection to the electrical panel;
  • steel panel for fastening to the wall.

In order to obtain the right temperature and pressure of the LNG  inside the storage tank it is necessary to install a system which allows their control.
For this purpose, the supply includes a low pressure vaporiser which, through an LNG recirculation circuit connected to the storage tank and to the submerged pump, allows the increase of the temperature and pressure to the required values.
